Everyone is an artist…

Please check the WLH Newsletter and website for information and submittal forms for the upcoming exhibition of local artists.  I was inspired by the theme to create this depiction of fireworks as I imagine them in the skies above Ladybird Lake on July 4th.  The art original, entitled "250th Grand Finale," is 28x40 and created using acrylic ink, watercolor and acrylic pens on paper.  Three additional pieces that I'll be submitting for the exhibit are posted below.  All artists who live within the Eanes District are encouraged to submit 2D and 3D works of art celebrating America and what it means to you.  The new City Hall and surrounding grounds provide a wonderful place for our community to come together and share talents and interests, and what better way than through the appreciate of art?!  Participation in such opportunities is key to their success....I hope you will feel inspired to submit one of your own creations and also come support other participating artists with your attendance at the opening art reception to be hosted sometime after July 8th from 5-7pm.
